Harassment is based on individual perception, and the decision to file a complaint is made by the employee.<\/li><li>The law is made case-by-case. We do not have a national civility code \u2014 as national news continues to underscore \u2014 and regulations provide examples, not answers.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>An\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.eeoc.gov\/eeoc\/task_force\/harassment\/report.cfm#_Toc453686308\" target=\"_blank\">ongoing EEOC task force on workplace harassment<\/a>\u00a0says company leadership must take \u201ca visible role in stating the importance of having a diverse and inclusive workplace that is free of harassment.\u201d In public discussions of task force findings, an expert panel recommended a holistic approach to revamping workplace culture in order to prevent harassment.
