Conference &amp; Expo on May 18, a panel moderated by ES&amp;A\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.esandalaw.com\/staff\/sam-sneed\"><strong>Sam Sneed<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0discussed\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bizjournals.com\/pacific\/news\/2017\/05\/19\/the-advantages-of-a-startups-small-companies-over.html\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>\u201cProtecting Your Assets: How to Manage Your Human and Technological Resources.\u201d<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0The panel included ES&amp;A President\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.esandalaw.com\/staff\/anna-elento-sneed\"><strong>Anna Elento-Sneed<\/strong><\/a>, Oceanit Director of Corporate Development Ian Kitajima and SystemMetrics Chief Operations Officer Marcus Yano. The message: SMBs are agile, with unique opportunities to evolve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bizjournals.com\/pacific\/news\/2017\/05\/22\/tech-experts-discuss-determining-customer-needs.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">panel<\/a>&nbsp;encouraged SMBs to take advantage of their ability to respond to market demands with both speed and creativity. \u201cBuild a culture of experimentation,\u201d said Kitajima. \u201cIt\u2019s important to plan but it\u2019s more important to be adaptable.\u201d&nbsp;Said Yano, \u201cOperational changes vs. aspirational changes \u2013 ask yourself what change you want to see.\u201d Elento-Sneed asked, \u201cWhat will it take to adapt and succeed? It takes bravery and a willingness to try.
